Trust me on this one: 29 lbs in front and 36 lbs psi in the rear. I have a 2002 1200 Sportster Custom and religiously check the tire pressure. Keep upright!
The appropriate tire pressure for the standard wheels and H-D tires is 32 psi for the front tire. Depending upon whether you are riding with a passenger, or the amount of weight, the back tire should be 30 psi unloaded, or 32 psi loaded.
The correct tire pressure for a Harley Davidson FXD is 30 psi for the front tires. The correct tire pressure for the rear tires is 40 psi.

Harley-Davidson motorcycle company recommends a tire air pressure of 18 pounds for the street glide model. Substitute tires may require a different air pressure.

As with all cars and motorcycles, that are factory, there is a sticker located somewhere on the bike, usually on the neck or the downtubes, that will tell you correct tire pressure. Front and rear.
The tire pressure is dictated by the tire manufacturer. Look in the side walls of the tire or contact the tire manufacture.
