Need to know correct timing gear alignment marks problem is each cam gear has two marks 2001 Saturn L 300 3.0 belt broke while driving?
What causes your 1995 Pontiac Grand prix 3100 engine to keep jumping time after installing a new timing chain?
Usually there are alignment marks on the two sprockets (or whatever you want to call them. The two marks should face eachother(usually). You might have manually rotate then engine over some to align them. Usually can be done if one can get a wrench with some leverage behind it and turn the crank shaft vibration dampener pulley. Many modern putters have such alignment marks. I would check with your local golf pro to see if making such a modification would be within the USGA rules. Timing marks align differently on every vehicle dependant on the engine used and the manufacturer. To find the proper alignment marks for your vehicle pick up an auto repair manual from a parts store ( they can also be found online ) and follow the directions to the letter. Be especially careful if your engine has interferrence heads.
