There is a diagram in the owner's manual that shows the proper routing and sequence. With a lot of skinned knuckles, it can be done w/out any tools. Chris
there is no fan belt. the fan is electric-motor powered.
Have you checked your owners manual? Surprisingly this was listed in mine but I have an older model.

You may have a serpentine belt on that car. I believe they had an electric fan. The serpentine belt is black and you can see it by your alternator, A/C compressor, etc. Under the hood of your car should be sticker on how to route the belt. You can look at that sticker and then see where your belt goes. There is no fan belt on a 1991 Nissan 300zx. The fan is directly driven by an electric motor. The water pump, alternator, and air conditioning compressor are belt driven. The belt for those components is located at the front of the engine.
start by popping the bonnet
There is no fan belt it is an electric fan. Are you referring to the serpentine belt?
There are 2 belts on my 1984. Inside belt crank shaft to water pump to alternator, should be a 50". Outside belt crank shaft to A/C, should be a 40" belt.
change the resistor if the problem continues try the fan with cables directly to battery and you will see for sure that the fan need to be replaced.
i had a similar problem i ended up replacing the fan clutch
The Villager has an electric fan and does not use a "fan belt".
A serpentine belt is one belt that runs all engine accessories (i.e. power steering pump, ac compressor, water pump, AND fan). A fan belt runs the fan only.
