Your 71 super bug speedometer is different from stock it seems to be from a newer bug with auto tranny can you just put in the connectors and bulbs in slots that are there you still use it?
yes. the lights inside might not correspond to the lights in your bug but you can pretty much hook up any speedo and lights into another one. like there might be more lights in the newwer speedo than you need for your 71 but pretty much from 71 and on they were all the same. parts are interchangable
