Urine samples collected from a donor should be between 90 degrees Fahrenheit to 100 degrees Fahrenheit. Anything outside of this range could signify tampering.
If the kidneys are getting enough blood to function well they concentrate the urine in an effort to correct the low blood volume. In more severe cases they cannot make much urine because they are not getting enough blood flow.
If temperature is being used to verify that the urine came from the correct person the temperature of the sample is an indicator that the urine is/may not be a fresh/valid sample...if the temperature is lower than expected.
