You are doing the wrong thing to your fish. Goldfish are large growing (over 10 inches)coldwater fish and should have temperatures around 55F. Mollys and Plattys are small tropical fish (around 1.5 to 2 inches) and need a temperature of around 70F. Either your goldfish or your tropicals will be suffering. The metabolism of tropical fish is higher than that of coldwater fish. This means that the tropicals should be fed several times daily (at least 3) provided their water temperature is correct. The coldwater fish should be fed at least daily if their water temp is correct. MY advice. Separate the tropicals from the coldwater fish and do the right thing by them.
You can not put tropical fish in coldwayter bevause they need hot water to survive but you can put goldfish in coldwater becaue they are coldwater fish
No. Corydoras are tropical fish and do not do at all well below 70F.
salmon, cod, herring
No , guppies are not considered coldwater fish. They are tropical fish native to warmer regions such as South America and the Caribbean. Guppies thrive in water temperatures ranging from 72°F to 82°F (22°C to 28°C). Therefore, they are classified as tropical freshwater fish rather than coldwater fish.
You can buy cold water fish from your local pet store, or aquatic center.
Hiya. I have a whole heap of coldwater fish. Their names are Tamara,
What you need to look for is not particularly "freshwater" fish. What you need is Coldwater fish rather than Tropical fish. The coldwater species that may be available apart from all the different types of Goldfish. are Golden Orf, Rudd, Roach, and various catfish species too.
Broadtail Moors are in the goldfish family and coldwater fish. They are bred in China.
Yes, a betta is a tropical fish. Tropical fish all have different temperatures at which they do best at, but goldfish are coldwater fish. Coldwater fish come from from a variety of different temperatures as well, so yes there is a temperature difference. You could not keep goldfish and bettas together because of the temperature difference.
There are several species of coldwater fish but no coldwater fish are really suitable for keeping in aquaria IMO because they all belong outside in ponds. There are Blue Dace, Golden Orf, and Koi Carp and several species of catfish to name a few.
No, not even close! Clownfish are saltwater tropical fish that belong to the Damselfish family. Goldfish are freshwater coldwater fish that belong to the Carp family.
