BR9EG NGK(resistance type) is what the owners manual says to use
The 2005 Yamaha cylinder bolt torque specifications are 90 pounds per square inch. The cylinder bolts should be torqued at 30 pound intervals.
i have a 2006 and i got clocked at 89mph. I'm sure 1 year isn't a big difference.

You are missing a number or letter. The vin should be 17 digits. If the 5 is the 10th digit then it's a 2005.
