More energy is lost by the Carnivore eating the Herbivore because of the 10% rule. When the Herbivore eats the plant, he gains 10% of the plants energy, but when the Carnivore eats the Herbivore, the Carnivore is getting 10% of the plants 10% from the Herbivore.
A Berrie is not any of thoes anwers because it is a producer, and producers take energy from the sun, not from plants and animals.
It's all about the energy transferring from the sun, to the plants (grass, for example). Then an herbivore eats the producer (the grass) and thus the energy is once again transferred. Then, a carnivore will take the energy from the herbivore by eating it. Lastly, decomposers feast on the carcass of the carnivore, taking it's energy. Without any of these, the chain would be broken and the entire system offset. Hope this helped :)
There are 2 answers:1.a carnivore eats a animal with producers in the dead animals stomach.2. In terms of energy, to get the energy of the producers, the producers get eaten by a herbivore of omnivore which carries the energy from the food it eats which is then passed to the carnivore if the carnivore eats the herbivore or omnivore. It's means lthe animals who just eat meat like Lion.
a consumer- eg. herbivore, carnivore, etc.
A tiger is a carnivore.
95%
well all those are consumers, the herbivore, the carnivore, and omnivore, they eat other organisms for energy.butsun ---> grass --> insects ---> rabbit ---> wolfwhere all energy comes from ---> producter ---> herbivore ---> omnivore ---> carnivore
A producer is none of these. It uses sunlight (some use chemicals) to produce their energy needs. Most all producers are plants.

Elephants are herbivores.

The niche of a producer is to carry out photosynthesis and get energy then gives that energy to a herbivore. A example of a producer is a plant.

yes it takes 10 percent of the producers energy
Trophic, or Energy Levels. (i.e. Producer feeds Consumer, Consumer Feeds First Level Predator, etc. OR. Plant feeds Herbivore, Herbivore feeds Carnivore). If I understood your question correctly...
