Under the start button at the bottom right corner there should be an option to shut the computer off
It is not connected to Windows 7 in any way. Mac OS2 introduced multiple folders, a "Shut Down" command and Screenshots. That is the only similarities to Windows 7.
You can, but I would advise against it as your computer should be shut down normally thru Windows. This way Windows is shut down properly, and the the read/write head on the hard drive is properly "parked" in a safe area on the hard drive.
Are the windows all the way down or just a little? If there down a little and won't go up try putting the top down and back up. Make sure it closes tight and latch it they should go up. If there down all the way i don't know what that is
