There are four types of tires, and depending on which you select will help you begin narrowing your price range. Street tread tires not applicable for you on a 4x4, but are cheapest. All terrain tires are great for off-roading and all weather conditions. Mud terrain tires for best for sand, dirt, etc, but are noisy. And finally, there are some special tires that allow travel through things such as heavy mud, but are not used elsewhere. Once you select a type, you can determine if $100.00 tires will suit you, or if you need to move into the $500.00-$600.00/tire range.

Snow tires cost slightly more than all weather tires. The actual cost of the snow tires would depend on the brand, style and size.
