Many people were cheated by one and did something irrational, that is the March 14 event all about. - Sorry, not exactly and what kind of answer is this?! It's so vague. It's March 10th, uprising day. The day where the Tibetans fought against the Chinese army stationed in Lhasa back when the 14th Dalai Lama was young.

Tibet is full of Natural Resources. It is also in the middle of Asia. These two factors are why China wants to own Tibet. Tibet, historically has a small population compared to China.

Tibet was sold to China by England behind Tibet's back. There were only two representatives from China living in Lhasa. Tibet won it's independence. In the late 40's, the Chinese government claimed Tibet because of England's agreements and the two reps that had previously lived in Tibet. The truth is, there were pillars marking the boundary of China and Tibet on Tibet's Eastern border for over 700 years. The CHinese army destroyed many of them.

China marched into Tibet killing many people, seizing assets of the rich and plunging Lhasa into extreme famine. The Chinese government wanted to kill Dalai Lama and he fled to India where he now lives.

The genocide didn't stop there. Since the 1950's Tibetans have been tortured and killed by the Chinese government. They have been persecuted for practicing their religion. They can't even put up a picture of Dalai Lama in their homes. Hundreds of thousands of Tibetans have fled to India for religious and physical freedom.

There are numerous human rights reports available for anyone to read and understand the horrific accounts of the Tibetan victims.

Tibetan is a different language from Chinese. Tibet has it's own unique culture and dress. It is nothing like Chinese culture and dress. China continues to assert it's dominance over Tibet.

The truth is, now there are more Chinese in the capital city of Lhasa than there are Tibetans. Go there, live there and see for yourself. Then go to MCleod Ganj in Himachal Pradesh. Go to the Tibet House museum. Talk to my Amala/mother. She was 12 years old when the army marched into Chamdo, in Kham. She will tell you the hell she witnessed and lived through. Talk to my friends about the torture they endured and you will understand why every March 10th, Tibetans protest.

The cool thing is, most Tibetans will say that they don't hate Chinese people. In fact, a lot of Chinese people and Taiwanese people support Tibetans and the Dalai Lama.

What Tibetans don't like is the Chinese government.
