The 444E is the engine installed in that truck and it has very little to do with GVWR. Under the 444e there would have been the model number (e.i.3700,3800,4300,4600 etc..) This would help answer with your question, but the GVWR can be affected by many different things (number of axles, type of axles, type of frame, gauge of frame. Etc..) Yes they do exist. You can check this out in BMW 3 series convertibles for instance, they have 6 cylinder petrol engines. They either come in a straight line arrangement or v6 arrangement. Some of the v6 engine cars were built as far back as 1905.
