The rod bearing torque spec from mercruiser is 45 lb there is no spec that i can find for the main bearing caps.

They didn't have a 135hp six cylinder engine in 1977. They had a 134hp V8 that had a top speed of 107.
115 h.p. & 220 ft/lbs of torque. Emissions controls in 1977 had choked this engine from it's original 150 h.p. in 1972 to a pitiful 115 by 1977.
