Not enough information. Franklin half dollars were made for 15 years at 3 mints so you have a lot of possibilities. Please post a new question with the coin's date (you did look at the date - ?) and whether there is a small S or D above the yoke of the Liberty Bell.

On the 1964 coin the mint mark, "D", is located on the reverse side (tails) of the coin between the eagle claw and the word "Half". There were no half dollars minted at Philadelphia in 1964.During 1965, 1966 and 1967 there were no mint marks at all on any of the half dollars. Beginning in 1968 the mint mark was place on the obverse side (heads) of the coin and was located above the date and below Kennedy's neck. In 1968, 1969 and 1970, half dollars were only struck at Denver "D" and San Francisco "S". The "S" mint coins were proof strikes. In 1971 half dollars were struck at all 3 mints but "P" for Philadelphia was not placed on the coins until 1980.

If it is dated 1916 or 1917 it would be below "IN GOD WE TRUST" on the observe. If it's dated 1917-1947 it would be to the left of "HALF DOLLAR: on the reverse. Keep in mind that not all walking liberty half-dollars have the D mintmark. If a small "D" is not in the above places it was made at either Philadelphia or San Francisco.
A whole step above C sharp (C#) is D sharp (D#). In music, a whole step consists of two half steps, and moving from C# to D# involves skipping the note D, which is a half step above C#.
The U.S. 1970-D Kennedy half dollar was not released for circulation.
Although it does have the Liberty Bell on the reverse of the coin, it's a Franklin half dollar. All Franklin half dollars are considered common, if it has any wear, it's valued only for the silver, about $12.00 as of 3-12-11
