BMW uses several symbols on the instrument panel that have a circle with an exclamation point in it. There is one indicating that there is something wrong with the automatic transmission, one indicating that there is something wrong with the brakes, and one that means that a bulb is out somewhere.
Without actually seeing the symbol, I can't tell you which one of these is on in your car. Generally speaking, if the symbol is yellow it's a warning and if the symbol is red that means you need to take the car in for service as soon as possible. Check your owner's manual for more detail.

Yeah... that symbol refers to the brake system. If the engine is on, and the parking brake is also on, the dash light will be on. However, if the parking brake is off, and the light is still showing, it means you're low on brake fluid. Nevertheless, you should pay a visit to your mechanic.
Your Parking Brake is on so just put the lever to release the parking brake, it should be under the steering column and the pedals

On Hondas with a "split dash" a symbol of a lowercase i inside a circle on the upper dash means look down on the lower dash for further information on its lights. It is "i" for "information".
