I have this gun. I believe it was 1965. It's the same as a Mossberg 351C. I found new firing pins for it on e-gunparts.com. Yes, that is basically the Mossberg 351C. Under the Mossberg name, they called it the 'Jack Rabbit Special.' The gun is the 351K with a shorter barrel and carbine styling. Should have a stained hardwood stock instead of walnut, and no serial number. If it IS serialized, it is post-1968. email@example.com
It's an old 22-long semi-automatic rifle
Should be 15.
Western Field (two words) was the "store" brand used by Montgomery Ward for firearms made for them by other companies. IF your semi auto .22 rifle loads by a tubular magazine in the butt, it was made by Mossberg as their Model 351C. (some of the cross reference data on store brands is hazy- got to get crystal ball fixed) These were made from 1965-1971, and are surprisingly accurate hunting grade rifles. Value will depend on condition, but averages $150 or so. A limited amount of repair parts is available from havlinsales.com.
