The loss of ability to walk can last for up half an hour in some cases, rendering it a "dead leg". recovery comes from the affected person gingerly rubbing the thigh to get some blood flow back into the muscle. While pain can last for hours. normally there is no bruising and the affected person seeks his revenge on some other innocent student. Ah yes, they were the days.
