* A person that has held secrets for any length of time and especially nine years or more and lies about certain things is called a 'compulsive liar.' Whether they simply choose to lead two lives or not (quite common) it is under the guise of compulsive lying. One lie leads to a bigger lie to cover up their secret lifestyle. In this case however some memories are too painful and the person may be in complete denial or simply can't face the truth and most individuals have at least one secret in their life that they will refuse to tell anyone.
