I know that Lindsay Lohan is a popular actor - meaning of interest to the population.
But most people who 'like' her as a popular actor would not treat her as a friend.
i.e. If Linsay called and asked you to bail her out of jail or pick her up from rehab, most would not comply - but you might with a friend.
