There are many differences between the 1993-1996 and 1997-1998 Toyota Supra turbo models. The chrome headlight/tailight backgrounds of the 1995 are black in the 1998, the headlight covers themselves are more transparent as to allow better lighting of the road, the front turn signals were redesigned to be flush with the front bumper, a new, lighter weight, more efficient and more reliable aluminum radiator was used to save weight as well as increase power and reliability via better engine cooling, the brake lines were changed to give a firmer pedal feel and thus more control and the suspension was tightened slightly to give both better feel and faster lap times (though this makes no difference if you have the optional racing brakes and suspension from TRD), and substantial chassis re-enforcements were added to the front/center pillars and floor crossmembers to increase rigidity. In addition, the rear spoiler, sport roof, chrome wheels and leather interior which were available as options in 1995 were standard in 1998. These differences apply to both the n/a and twin-turbo models, and the n/a versions also received a better ABS control unit. In the turbo model, these changes were said to not only aid in comfort and reliability but its once world-record lap time of 7:49 around Germany's infamous Nurburgring track in 1995 was cut to 7:43 for the 1997/1998 models. If these don't seem like too major of differences, trust me, they are. The 1997/1998 models are superior cars and for these reasons, KBB values the 1997/1998 Supra turbos at nearly twice that which they consider the 1995 to be worth. Hope this helps.
