2 cycle oil is meant to be used when your engine requires fuel/oil mix gas. If you have a dip stick for oil, your machine doesn't use mixed gas/oil.
Usually no difference except that later model vehicles require a multi-viscosity oil (5w-30, 10w-30. etc) while the regular 30w is recommended for small engines such as a lawn mower.

Some of the commercial ones are just way bigger and more powerful than the regular ones because they were made specifically for tougher jobs.
