They were officially akc registered in 1996 according to akc. I hope this helps!
If the dogs are UKC and one is ADBA then yes you can register them both.
No. The American Kennel Club (AKC) is a registry of purebred dog pedigrees in the United States (in addition to promoting events, like dog shows, for purebred dogs, but that's irrelevant to the question). To register with the AKC, an owner needs to show the dog's parents were registered as a purebred breed (recognized by the AKC). The AKC isn't a puppy mill because it is not involved at all with the actual breeding of dogs. Note that there has been some criticism of the AKC, as a registered dog is no sign whatsoever of dog health or any sort of strong bloodline. AKC registered dogs often still possess genetic diseases since the AKC does not required any sort of health screening for a dog to be registered. Therefore puppy mill dogs can often still be registered with the AKC, and "fool" uninformed consumers. The AKC is not a puppy mill itself, but note that a piece of paper signifying a dog is registered with the AKC is not a sign the dog didn't originally come from a puppy mill.
AKC is a legit registry. They require proper paperwork to register a dog thru them. ACA will register anything as anything.
No, in order for a puppy to be registered with the American Kennel club, both of it's parents must be registered AKC dogs. Dogs of any breed recognized by the AKC that do not have registration papers or known parents may qualify for a "Purebred Alternative Listing/Indefinite Listing Privilege" (PAL/ILP). PAL/ILP dogs may participate in certain AKC events, such as obedience, agility, tracking and many performance events. You should contact the AKC for more info.
