Call of Duty 4 Game of the Year Edition is still Call of Duty 4, but Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is in essence Call of Duty 6.
Being the latter of the two games, Modern Warfare 2 expands the campaign from Call of Duty 4, has improved graphics, many additions to multiplayer, a new game mode entitled "Special Ops" among other things.
