What is the difference between modern warfare 2 and modern warfare 2 special edition?

i believe that the standard edition you just get the game. hardened edition you get an art book, the game, and a code to download the original Call of Duty.

Correct. Purchasing the Hardened Edition gives you a book containing graphic designs, layouts and original artwork. You also get the code to download the Original Call of Duty: Arcade Mode with a graphics overhaul. Purchasing the Veteran Edition? or Black one? Will also give you real night vision goggles.

The difference between the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Prestige Edition (I think its called a Veteran Package here in England) and the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 standard edition varies.

In the Prestige Edition, you get the game (I think in a steel case), a statue of the player character in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Captain Soap MacTavish, A pair of NVG's (Night Vision Goggles), a limited edition art book and a code for the original Call of Duty download, a platinum classic.
