New Zealanders and US citizens do have much in common but there are differences clearly evident once you get talking. NZ citizens tend to be quieter than the average American and also tend to be well travelled because NZ Citizens love international travel. They have a more passive tendency are are quite easy going and accepting of things such as average service in restaurants and treat most other people as their equal. Racism of any kind is unusual and Polynesian and Chinese immigrants are well accepted in society. NZ Citizens don't express the same loyalty to the flag and country that US Citizens do and you wont see the National flag flown in residential properties as is done in the USA. New Zealanders also have a close relationship with Australians and many chose to live and work in Australia due to no border restrictions being applicable.
