Solver can solve problems by enabling a target cell to achieve some goal. This goal may be to minimse, maximise, or achieve some target value. It solves the problem by adjusting a number of input cells according to a set of criteria or constraints which are defined by the user.
Goal Seek is a simpler and more limited facility, which enables you to get a value for a target cell by adjusting just a single cell and does not allow you to have criteria or constraints.
