Paris is Hector's brother, or cousin... he's the prince.
Helen was Agamemnon's girl who Paris stole.
the whole reason they're fighting each other, really
Jordan is one hour ahead of France. ========================= Time difference between Paris, France and Amman, Jordan is 1 hr Amman is 1 hr ahead of Paris=========================
Paris is normally 6 hours ahead of the U.S. Eastern Time zone. For convenience, many phone books provide time zone information in the front.
There is never a time difference between Italy and France; both are on Central European Summer Time (UTC + 2 hrs.) from March to October and Central European Time (UTC + 1 hr.) from October to March.
Nashville is on Central Standard Time and Washington, DC. is on Eastern Standard Time. Therefore there would be a one hour time difference between the two. If it was 12:00pm in Nashville, it would be 1:00pm in DC.
Beijing Time is seven hours ahead of Central European Time and six hours ahead of Central European Summer Time. (Europe observes Summer Time from the last Sunday of March to the last Sunday of October.)
Paris and Helen are the reason for the Trojan war.. Read Homer's Iliad
Paris is a character in Homer's epic poem The Iliad, not The Odyssey. In The Iliad, Paris is a prince of Troy and his abduction of Helen, the queen of Sparta, serves as the catalyst for the Trojan War.
After the Judgment of Paris, in which Paris determined Aphrodite to be the most beautiful of the goddesses in return for the love of the most beautiful woman on earth (Helen), Paris had to go kidnap Helen because she was already married to Menelaus, the king of Sparta. In some versions of the myth, she goes willingly.
The Illiad is about the siege of Troy. The war started because Paris took Helen from her Spartan husband who is the King of Sparta.
I don't believe he had a girlfriend / spouse. Also, FYI, the story you're referring to is the Iliad, not the Odyssey.
the characters on iliad are the following: agamemnon, menelaus, achilles, paris, helen, king priam, hecuba, odysseus, hector, patroclus, chrisies, chrises, brisies, cassandra, astyanax,calcas,iphegenia,clytemnestra,...
Prince Paris fell in love with Helen, abducted her, and took her to Troy. It should be noted that she was married to Menelaus. The story is told beautifully in the Iliad. There is also a movie named "Troy" that tells this story.
The Iliad says yes. It should be noted, however, that the only reason that she did is because Aphrodite forced her to. She was the promised gift for Paris awarding the Golden Apple of Discord to Aphrodite. It wouldn't have made much of a gift if the woman didn't want him too.
No kidnap - the woman went quite willingly, and stole her husband's property to take with her and Paris (Alexander) prince of Troy.
The iliad
Helen is the daughter of Queen Leda of Sparta and Zeus, her brother by Zeus was Polydeuces who was considered the 'twin' of Caster; her sister by Leda and King Tyndareus was Clytaimnestra. She was married to Menelaus and kidnapped by her lover Paris.
Hector was Paris's brother, and while Hector did not approve of Paris stealing Helen from Menelaus (which caused the Trojan War), there was no significant physical confrontation between the two. In the Iliad, Hector often expresses his disagreement with Paris, but still fights the Trojan War as a commander.
