∙ 9y agoChina was influenced by Russia in terms of communist ideals. The difference between Russian and Chinese communism was that China became flexible in terms of allowing an element of free market capitalism, whereas Russia didn't change and collapsed.

China and the USSR were both examples of state capitalism, not Communism (which means a classless stateless society). China is now a mix of state and private capitalism.
