A basic warranty is usually issued for about 30 to 60 days on a used vehicle. It usually covers parts and labor for major break downs. A limited warranty is issued for usually one year or 10,000 to 12,000 miles, whichever comes first and only covers transmission, motor, and drive train for normal driving conditions.

Limited would be a warranty with certain restrictions. Unlimited warranty would cover everything. If you sell a car as is is no warranty expressed or implied, that means there is absolutely no warranty.
