There are some distinctive differences between a blu ray drive and a cd drive although they are both examples of optical media. I think a blu ray drive can read cds and dvds as well as blu ray cds while a cd drive only reads cds.
there is no difference.
I think blu ray reader is a blu ray drive and blu ray player is a blu ray player
Yes. The only difference between a regular Blu-Ray and a 3D Blu-Ray is that the 3D Blu-Ray ALWAYS plays the movie in 3D
It's the same with DVD optical drives. A Blu-Ray reader (or player) is a drive or a stand alone home theater appliance that can play or read Blu-Ray movies or read Data on Blu-Ray discs. A blu-Ray burner is a drive that can write or "burn" data on Blu-Ray discs.I'm actually using a USB Blu-Ray burner with my system. It's from a company called DIGISTOR. Very very nice. Hope the answer helped.
I have an blu ray player myself and to be honest i cant really see the difference between DVD and blu ray
One can get a Blu-ray drive from 'Amazon' where they can be bought for prices between $70 and $120. They can also be purchased from 'Best Buy' and 'eBay'.
If you have a Blu-Ray drive, then yes. If not, no
1 D.
If you have a Blu-Ray drive, then yes. If not, then no
Well the drive has to be a Blu-Ray drive for Blu-Rays require a certain laser in order to play and DVD players do not have that laser, but the Blu-Ray laser can detect and read DVDs
In my opinion, a blu-ray player is used for playback Blu-ray movie, while a Blu-ray reader can deal with both movie and data Blu-ray discs.
The answer is No, but not exactly. There is no Blu-ray optical drive avaiable on Mac. If you want to enjoy Blu-ray on Mac, you need an external Blu-ray drive and a Blu-ray Player Software. I am using the Aurora Blu-ray Player and the Samsung SE-506AB. It just work fine for me.
