Golden Retrievers have webbed feet. Their fur is longer and thicker. They have two coats of fur, the long silky topcoat, and a softer fuzzier undercoat. The fur fans out off the backs of their legs, and they have very prominent fans from the bottom sides of their tails. Goldens tend to have a more narrow face, but that is not always true.
Labs have shorter hair. It is still soft, but does not have the same fuzzy coat under the topcoat. Their heads are usually a little broader. The fans are absent from the backs of the legs and from the tail.

It is quite trivial, Golden Retrivers and labs are quite the same, but Labs are stockier and shorter, Goldens are more elegant and taller, Goldens have long sliky fur, Labs have shorter, easier to manage fur. I have a golden, and i love him but the breed does shed quite a bit twice a year.
Golden retrivers and yellow labs are diffrent breeds of dog. They are both retrivers which means they were bred and raised to go get a hunters kill and bring it back that is whay they have so many similar attributes such as size, apperance, and personality, they are like cousins. One of the main differences between the two is that labradors are water dogs, bred to retrieve ducks, as a result they have short insulated coats, and webbed toes, golden retrievers have long silky coats and lean agile legs. Golden retrievers are good hunting dogs and because they are also cousins to sheep dogs they are very intellegent, they have become better known for their role as family dog though, Labradors are pure bred hunting water dogs, their brain is set to go get bring back and lack a little of the versitility of the golden, but tend to surmont it in athleticism, but these are small variables and general anything a lab can do a golden can and vise versa. Both dogs share a general dispostion of friendly, loyaly, athletic, playful, and loving.
Golden retrievers are dogs that like to retrieve things for hunters like ducks and raccoons. They have a long coat that frequently needs to be groomed (daily is best). They are very calm and loyal at a young age. They are also prone to several different types of cancer.
----
Labradors are better suited for retrieving waterfowl, like ducks. They have webbed feet and an otter like tail that help them swim. Also a double coat to keep them warm in the water. They are the most popular dog in the United States and England. They are loyal, but extremely hyper until they age 2-3 years old. They are prone to hip and elbow dysplasia and blindness. Make sure to buy from a breeder that has the dam and sire certified for hip, elbow, and eye health to avoid problems.
A Golden Retriever is a unique un-mixed dog breed. A Golden Labrador Retriever is simply a mix between a goldie and a labrador.
Yellow retrievers were the breed before they were developed into goldies.
One is a retriever the golden just describes the kind of retriever One is a Labrador the 'yellow' just describes the kind of lab
A golden retriever is a long hair dog. A yellow (not golden) labrador is a short hair dog.
A golden Labrador is just a Labrador with a golden or yellow fur color. It can also mean that that dog is a cross breed between a golden retriever and a Labrador. A Labrador retriever is a lab that retrieves an object such as the game that a hunter shot or a stick or toy that you threw.
Labrador puppy's are usually more white.

labrador, and a golden retriever
Here are some significant differences between the Labrador Retriever and the Golden Retriever:Coat ColourLabradors can come in a black, yellow and chocolate (dark brown) colour, while Goldens only come in a fawn (golden) coloured coat, so a black and brown retriever-type dog cannot be a Golden. A Golden Retriever's coat can also come in a wide variety of shades, ranging from an almost white to dark mahogany. The yellow Labrador's coat is usually light golden, although it can come in a paler shade or a foxy red colour. Coat LengthThe Labrador Retriever is a short-haired dog. On the other hand, the Golden Retriever is a long-haired with a coat that is usually slightly wavy. It has moderate feathering on the back of its front legs and underbody, and heavier feathering on the front of its neck and chest, back of their thighs and the bottom of its tail. TailThe Labrador Retriever has a distinctive "otter tail", which is thick at its base and gradually tapers to the tip. The otter tail has no feathering. The Golden Retriever has a tail with heavy feathering on its underside, EarsThe Golden Retriever has ears closer to its cheek than the Labrador. Golden retrievers also have ears that are set lower than a Labradors'.
they are classified as retriever dogs, in the same family as the golden retriever
