With a positrac, both axles turn simultaneously, on limited slip differential, one wheel has to spin hard enough to engage the gearing inside the differential to "toss" the drive to the other axle. On positrac, both axles turn under power, with limited slip, only one axle turns at a time.
Nothing, Posi-Track is a brand name (GM), limited slip is what it is. Kind of like Kleenex is to facial tissue.

Difference between Private Limited and Limited firm
GM started offering Limited slip differential in 1957
Basically, it is a differential that limits the difference in rotational speed between wheels on opposite ends of the axle. In other words, if the wheel on one side loses traction and begins spin faster than the other, the differential acts to transfer power from the slipping wheel to the one with better traction. Probably the best-known brand name for this type of differential (rear end) is Positraction (or "Posi"), which is GM's tradmark for their Limited Slip Differential built by Eaton.
There's only a limited amount of the limited Xbox.
The front differential is an "open" differential. No limited slip components there.
