A riding heel tends to be a bit wider and about 1 1/2 inches to 2 inches high depending on the boot. Fashion boots usually have more narrow and taller heels. They also don't provide the right foot bed or support systems that real riding boots do either. And again fashion boots are made of of a more flimsy material that won't hold up as well.
