The difference between a mixture and a solution is fairly subtle. A mixture is anything mixed together, for example, lemonade and cola mixed or shampoo and conditioner. When something is mixed, theoretically the two liquids could be separated again. In a solution, a chemical bond is formed between the molecules of the two liquids and they can not be separated by physical means, such as by a filter or centrifuge. In a mixture the components will retain their physical properties when combined. For example, a tossed salad is a mixture because, even though the lettuce and the dressing and the vegetables combine to make a salad, it is still clear what they individually are and they could, with some effeort, be separated out into piles of lettuce, tomato, and other ingredients.

A solution is also referred to as a Homogeneous Mixture, which is a mixture that has constant composition throughout; it always has a single phase.

Basically a solution refers to a specific type of mixture.

Common examples of solutions would be tea or pink lemonade. You are probably more familiar with solutions in liquid form, but they can also be solids, liquids, or gases. They can be a mixture of a solid and gas, a solid and a liquid, a gas and a liquid, and so on...

What is the difference between colloid solution to colloid mixture?

Well they are the same thing because a solution is a type of mixture. If there had to be a difference a colloid solution is when particles are mixed as a colloid in water but a colloid mixture could be anything: a gas colloid, a liquid colloid or a solid colloid. Or any of those three mixed together! It is complicated but basically the difference is that one is particles spread thought mixture and one isn't. Hope it helps :)
