At a flea market, a person buys a space to sell his wares and only those people can sell their items. At a swap meet, anyone who pays the entrance fee can sell their items.
The exact days for any swap meet at any flea markets would depend on the exact flea market and where it is (city, county, state, country).
Flea markets and swap meets in the United States are called just that. In the UK they are often called boot sales. (The trunk of a car is called a boot in the UK.) Flea markets and swap meets are businesses, and just like any other type of business they have their own business names, such as Mile High Flea Market or Rose Bowl Flea Market. If you are searching for a certain flea market and you know the state it is located in, you might have luck doing a Google or Yahoo search. Type flea market, followed by the state, in the search window and take your pick of the many websites that come up full of details about the flea markets and swap meets in that particular state. I make thousands of dollars each and every month selling at flea markets and swap meets and always get paid in cash. A flea market is a place where people can buy and sell goods, usually second-hand. This is usually outdoors, though it can be indoors. The prices are open to bartering, and this is a much more common practice at a flea market than in a high street shop (for example). In the US I think it is also known as a "swap meet". The origin of the name is in dispute. It may come from the fact that the buyers and sellers "hop" around the place a bit like fleas, or it may be because when they first appeared, goods (such as furniture) were often infested with parasites, so the buyer could be said to be buying fleas as well as the goods themselves.
