A VGA monitor (video graphics array) typically displays pictures in 640 x 480 pixels, or an even smaller 320 x 200 pixels. SVGA (super video graphics array) monitors are simply a higher resolution monitor, and display pictures at 800 x 600 pixels.
Yes
yes its very simple to convert VGA signal into SVGA signal.
What is the difference between an LCD monitor using a VGA 15 PIN port and using dvi-d plug?
Video Graphics array or Super video graphics array. SVGA is higher quality.
It is a computer graphics standard. VGA = Video Graphics Array SVGA = Super Video Graphics Array.
Here is the list. SVGA is also added. Hope this helps# CGA Standard resolution 15.7KHZ Horizontal rate (like a TV) # EGA Medium resolution 25KHZ Horizontal rate # VGA 31.5KHZ Horizontal rate (like a desk top monitor in 640x480 mode) # SVGA 35KHZ Horizontal rate and higher (800 x 600 mode). For More: http://www.querycat.com/faq/982d85968cfc0e559704eac3a531f434
DVI is higher quality connection and uses a different style plug.
Yes. As long as the output is VGA. There is no difference in the standard between CRT and LCD.
See if you have only VGA port on the ASUS Monitor then you need to plugin the VGA part of HDMI to VGA in Asus Monitor and then plug the other part that is HDMI in your Macbook pro. There might be a problem with you that both Asus monitor and the HDMI to VGA cable have same VGA Plugs,Like both of them are female VGA or both of them are Male VGA hence they cannot be connected together. For that problem you need to have one more cable of the opposite character to that of your HDMI to VGA and your monitor's VGA port to establish a connection between the Monitor and Macbook pro using the cable you already have. Like if you have female VGA on your monitor and on your existing cable then you need to buy male to male VGA and vice versa you have to buy female to female VGA for male ports on monitor and cable you already have. If you feel that there is some other problem than that then you can message me directly and i will guide you accordingly.
Super VGA (or SVGA) cable equipment can be bought in a multitude of places on the web. This equipment, which is primarily for older computers, can be found at Amazon, eBay, and Newegg.
A tv has a tuner.A monitor does not.If you have a digital cable box you can hook a monitor up to it and watch tv on it.If your tv has hdmi or vga you can plug it in to your computer and use it as a monitor.
The main difference between the tow is the signal. VGA uses an analog signal and DVI is a digital signal.
