The word Alluvial describes a type of soil. It can be made up of sand, silt, clay, gravel, or other matter deposited by flowing water. Alluvial Mining is when a prospector gets the gold bearing soil from a creek, river or river deposits. Once they gather the soil and refine the material to concentrate they use a gold pan to pan for gold- the gold they find is called alluvial gold.
Quartz reef mining is when it is mined from the source. Its particles of gold embedded in quartz.
The difference between alluvial and quartz mining is that alluvial mining takes place far from the source of the gold and found in rivers and creeks. Quartz mining takes place at the source of the gold.

Both quartz and rock crystal are made up primarily of silicon dioxide. The main difference between them is that rock crystal does not have any significant amount of trace elements that would color it. Quartz does contain coloring trace elements.
quartz is in solid form while sand in ppt
The major differences between quartz and calcite are hardness and cleavage. Quartz is about twice as hard as calcite. Quartz has little or at least very seldom any sort of obvious cleavage, whereas calcite has excellent and very obvious rhombohedral cleavage.
The difference is in their chemical composition and crystal structure which gives them different properties.
Alluvial gold is found in the water and reef gold is found in rocks. Reef gold is worth more than alluvial gold. Hope this helps:)
Placer mining is recovering gold dust that has washed into streams and rivers (panning and sluice boxes, as well as dredges today) . Quartz mining involves traditional mining of gold bearing quartz rock, and requires digging, transporting, and crushing the rock to extract the gold.

The effect of mining quartz is it make the world smell more. If there are still quartz mining going on, monitor lizards will extinct from the world.
Quartz is silicon dioxide (sand). Diamond is an allotropic form of carbon.
Quartz is a naturally occurring form of silica that often contains impurities.
Quartz movement is more traditional. Kintetic quartz relies on different principles and is a bit more accurate.

The difference is in varying concentrations of quarts in each crystal.
