An annotated bibliography includes a summary and evaluation of each source, while an APA formatted reference page lists sources in alphabetical order with basic publication information. Annotated bibliographies provide additional insight into the content and relevance of each source, while reference pages are focused on citing sources correctly according to APA guidelines.

Basically, an annotated bibliography is a list of references with short summaries of each source. An APA formatted reference page is pretty much just the author's name, book title, year and other information formatted according to the APA manual, looks like this:

Angeli, E., Wagner, J., Lawrick, E., Moore, K., Anderson, M., Soderlund, L., & Brizee, A. (2010, May 5).

What is the difference between annotated bibliography and an APA-formatted reference page?

An annotated bibliography is a list of ALL the sources that you looked at for your essay whether or not you used them in your report or not. It also includes a brief summary of the information from each source. An APA-formatted reference page is a list of the sources that you DID use for your paper. It does not include any sources that you read but did not use in your paper. It also does not include a summary of the information from the source.

What is the difference between reference and bibliography?

Bibliography is listing all the materials that have been consulted while writing an essay or a book. References, on the other hand, are those that have been referenced in your article or book. You might have consulted a lot of books, essays and websites for writing something. Though you might have referred to these while preparing a write up, the content of these might not have been included in the actual text. This is what refers to bibliography. References are those that are directly included in your actual text.
