Each of these characteristic substances is actually a series of substances of irregular structure, one sodium based, the other calcium based, with a range of molecular weights from about 10,000 to 100,000, and are most often are used as a single based mixture. Adding confusion is the fact that they're manufactured, marketed and sold under a variety of trade names.
