This would be Church of God Cleveland, Tenn. A main doctrine would be the Baptism in the Holy Ghost. The Baptist (Southern Baptist) believe that one is baptised in the Holy Ghost at Salvation. The Bible clearly teaches that at salvation one is baptised by the Holy Spirit into the body of Christ. This is not the Baptism of the Holy Ghost as described in Acts. Jesus taught that He would baptise you in the Holy Ghost. Those at Pentecost were already saved, but needed something more in their commission by Jesus to go ye into all the world. He told them to tarry until they receive POWER (Dunamis= dynamite), that is inherited power, by Jesus Himself. This promise is to all believers Acts:2:39. Another difference is the concept of "eternal security." The Baptism believe this with with no condition. They confuse salvation by faith alone with a personal relationship with God. Jesus himself said that if a man says he "loves me" and "does not my commandments, he is a liar." The confusion is taking the position that once saved by the blood of Jesus, it's power will keep you saved, regardless of whatever you do. This certainly sounds inviting, but true salvation does much more for a person that just give him the licence to sin. Power to live any way one wants to? or Power to be an over-comer of sin? For the Church of God, they believe in the transforming power of Salvation, wherein some Baptist believe in a convenient salvation that doesn't affect ones life. Fact: If one could meet the Son of God, Jesus, and received from Him a personal forgiveness and relationship, how could one live as if it never happened. Whether one is Church of God or Baptist, True salvation will always bring righteous change. Paul said, "Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound?" "God forbid." NO! Jesus said, "If ANY man come after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow ME." "...Any man having his hand to the plow and looking back, is not worthy of the kingdom." Salvation is certainly free, but it is not cheap. There are times that one must "renew again to repentance." It's is not as simple as using provocative terms as "losing ones salvation" or even getting saved over and over again. But one must not be deceive to believe that salvation is a law that allows one to sin. John stated in his epistle, "little children" (children of God) I write to you not to sin, but IF you do, we have an advocate with the Father Jesus Christ the righteous who is the propitiation for our sins and the sins of the whole world." Another difference in the Church of God and Baptist is the government. Church of God is Wesleyan Pentecostal following the Wesley tradition which has a centralized government. The Baptist is more centralized at the local level. Point: A good Baptist or a good Church of God can go to heaven. I don't mean to be divisive, only trying to make a good comparison. We all must work out our own salvation with fear and trembling, and a good advise is to receive salvation and treasure it with a personal relationship with Jesus and not to try to receive salvation in order to validate our unrighteous living. be blessed!

None. Baptist is just a denomination of Christianity. Your question is like saying "What is the difference between cars and modes of transportation?" Or between a Ford and a car.
