The Surenos are a gang that is under the Mexican Mafia along with other Hispanic gangs like Eighteen Street & MS-13. Crips have their own alliance called the Crip Alliance along with gangs like Hoover Criminals and a few others. Crips wear the colors blue and gray while Surenos wear the colors brown & white (any Sureno wearing blue is fake). Although they're two very different gangs they are close allies since they're both enemies of gangs under the Blood Alliance such as the Bloods, Pirus, Brims & Nortenos(who wear the colors red & black).

Sureños and Crips are not the same. For starters Sureños wear navy blue and Crips wear royal blue. The only thing that is the same about them is that they both wear their bandanas to the left, but they are not the same gang.

Surenos didn't start wearing blue bandanas till the 90's the Crips have been wearing them since the 60's.
