Diabetic coma is a result of too much sugar in the blood (hyperglycemia) due to a lack of sufficient insulin production. Patients with severe Diabetes take insulin injections to help suppliment their body's inability to produce enough insulin.

Insulin Shock is a result of too much insulin being released into the bloodstream, wich metabolizes whatever sugars ARE in the body sometimes resulting in an extremely decreased blood sugar level (hypoglycemia). These patients generally need to be given something sweet like OJ or a candy to help jolt sugar levels in the blood.

Those are the complete opposite of each other... Insulin Shock is due to too much insulin so sugar is needed... Diabetic Coma is when a diabetic's blood sugar goes so high that ketoacidosis occurs and the diabetic needs more insulin...

Diabetic coma occurs when blood glucose is way too high, insulin reaction is when blood glucose is dangerously low due to the use of too much insulin, or doing too much exercise, not enough food/calorie intake, or some combination of those factors. Both are very severe conditions that need immediate medical intervention.

Is Brand Better in Diabetic Insulin?

Using diabetic insulin is a serious health matter, but does brand or generic make a difference? As medicines are closely monitored and carefully tested, a generic form of diabetic insulin is just as effective in controlling blood sugars as a brand name. As most varieties require a prescription, ask your doctor if a suitable generic is available. The most recently approved new types of diabetic insulin may only be offered as brand name medications.

If you inject a diabetic shot by mistake would you be diabetic?

You do not become diabetic by injecting yourself with insulin; your body naturally produces insulin. You become diabetic when your pancreas stops working well (or stops working at all.) However, you could lapse into a coma and die if there is too much insulin in your body. Do NOT inject insulin into yourself or anyone else unless told by a doctor to do so.

What is the difference between a Type-1 diabetic and an insulin-dependent diabetic?

Type-1 diabetics are generally insulin-dependent, but not all insulin-dependent diabetics are type-1. Type-1 refers to how the patient contracted diabetes -- by having their pancreatic beta cells stop producing insulin, usually due to an autoimmune disorder. Type-2 diabetics became diabetic through a combination of genetic and lifestyle problems that reduced insulin production and/or increased insulin resistance. Type-2 diabetics usually begin treatment with diet changes and oral medications that increase insulin production or reduce resistance, rather than taking injections of actual insulin. But a Type-2 diabetic may become insulin-dependent over time, if treatment isn't effective. The high blood sugar can attack the pancreas (through oxidative stress and amyloidosis), reducing insulin production until even oral medications are no longer adequate.

How does insulin helps in control of diabetic?

if you are diabetic it means your body can not break down the sugar you give it proparly. so diabetic people take insulin which breaks down the sugar for you. that is roughly right, my friend is diabetic. if you want further information talk to a diabetic nurse or look at wikipedia.
