Electrostatic force is one between two electric charges but friction is the force between two surfaces.

Even when the charges are at rest electro static force exists but friction would exist only when they start moving relatively.

Coulomb's law is to be followed. but no specific law.

electrostatic force is the force between the two opposite charges where as the electromagnetic force is movement of electrons

Explain that- forces are due to to interaction between objects?

Forces acts between objects when force is applied to it. The force is in action when push or pull is applied in the process.

What is difference between shear and friction?

Shear is a sideways force. Friction is drag - from any direction.

What is the difference between friction and static force?

Static electricity has electricity and friction makes heat and slows things down.

What is the difference with static friction and kinetic friction?

static friction is the friction between two bodies they are in contact. And another sliding over the other. Kinetic friction is the friction between two bodies they are rolling .And that force is opposite to the rolling angle

What are the factors that determine the friction force between two sliding objects?

The normal force between the two objects and the coefficient of friction. Force of friction = normal force x coefficient of friction.

What is the difference between drag and friction?

Friction is an action, frictional force is a force. Typically the static or kinetic friction of an object causes a frictional force when there is an attempt at moving the object, the frictional force is always opposite to the applied force, as it is the force you must overcome to move the object.

What is the difference between tension force and friction force?

tension force is pulling something apart, like stretching a rubber band. friction force is when you rub two surfaces together, like rubbing sandpaper on something.

What happens to the electrostatic force if one charge is quadupled?

If one of a pair of charges is quadrupled and the distance between them doesn't change, then the electrostatic force between them is also quadrupled.

What force is responsible for the painful difference between sliding on pavement and sliding on grass?

friction: the force that resists relative motion between two bodies in contact.
