1024 megabyte = 1 gigabyte

1024 gigabyte = 1 terabyte

A terabyte is MUCH bigger than a megabyte. Here is a break down of the sizes:

  • Terabyte = 1024 Gigabytes
  • Gigabyte = 1024 Megabytes
  • Megabyte = 1024 Kilobytes
  • Kilobyte = 1024 Bytes
  • Byte = 8 Bits
  • Nibble = 4 Bits

A '0' or '1' is called bit, 8 bits is called 1 byte, 1024 bytes is 1 Kilobyte, 1024 Kilobytes is 1 Gigabyte, 1024 Gigabytes is 1 Tera byte, and 1024 Terabyte is 1 Petabyte.

What is difference tetra bytes technology and giga bytes?

Its not tetra its terra. Its is a measurement in the powers of 10. as you know kilobyte means 1000 bytes A megabyte is a million bytes A giga byte is a billion bytes A terra byte is a trillion bytes then there are peta-, exa-, zetta- and lastly yotta- A yottabyte is: 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000, 000 bytes.

What is the difference between octets and bytes?

A byte is a set of adjacent bits (usually 8, but not necessarily) while an octet is a set of exactly 8 bits

How much is Kb and MB?

KB - Kilo Byte MB - Mega Byte GB - Giga Byte TB - Tera Byte while you may think kilo is 1000 and mega is 1 million... giga is 1 billion... and so on; it actually is not. a Kilo byte is actually 2^10 Byte which is 1024 Bytes. Kilo Byte = 2^10 Bytes = 1024 Bytes Mega Byte = 2^20 Bytes = 1048576 Bytes Giga Bytes = 2^ 30 Bytes = 1073741824 Bytes and so on... close enough right?
