Why car is not made of hard rubber so that it is more elastic during collision?
Actually, hard rubber is not elastic. If you have ever had a hard rubber ball you know this. Also, rubber dries out and cracks in hot weather and doesn't expand or contract in cold weather so it would just fall apart eventually. Most people want to keep a car going for several years and it wouldn't hold up if it was hard rubber. Hard rubber is used in cars for hoses, tires, and other things, but to have the car made of it just is not practical.
