It depends really. If you're looking for a fast but more budget-friendly CPU, the i5 is better. But it lacks some features that the i7 has. Nevertheless, it is still a good, fast CPU. The i7, on the other hand, currently reigns as king and its prices reflect that.
The Intel core i5 and i7 features both hyper threading technology helping it do multitasking and can boost the ghz up to a higher ghz. But the difference between the i5 and i7 is that i5 has two cores and i7 has 4 cores.
Hmmm. I was going to ask this question. I can tell you what I've picked up along my way for a complete answer. The i5 is currently faster in gaming, hence the higher Ghz. The i5 uses two cores, which make it fast (correct me if I'm wrong), whereas the i7 has four cores which give it more power, but less speed. But that is all I have picked up on my search.
i7 processor is best rather than dual core
It depends on what version of the processors you are compairing. Also what you will be using your computer for.
i7 has 4 cores 8 threads, i5 has 4 cores 4 threads
Intel Core i5 definitely; they have more cores for multitasking and have more models with higher clock speeds.
Core 15; has a better processor.
i7 is faster
Intel Core i5 i5-7xx, Core i7 i7-8xx, Xeon L34xx, Xeon X34xx, Celeron G1xxx, Pentium G6xxx, Core i3 i3-5xx, and Core i5 i5-6xx. The 'x' represents any number.
It think there is a difference of 40qm ! Lol
the intel i7 is a computer processor in the intel i series of processors in the i series of processors is the i3, i5, i7 and i9 if you want more info check out intel's website
The best computer to buy among the three is i7. It will be able to complete the calculations faster.
It has gone i3, i5 and i7. It could be i9 next or maybe Intel Core 3 Duo.
Any processor could work, but for ultimate quality obviously you would get the best....the i7 extreme edition 980x. However, for 800 less get an i5 and there is no noticable difference. i7 extreme is 1000. you do the math

The latest processors from Intel are the i family. Within the family there are three major platforms: i3, i5, i7. The i3 is the budget range with on board graphics featuring in some of them. The i5 targets the mid range with a quad core however, most of the i5's are dual core processors. The i7 is the top end processor which has been labeled the fastest processor in the world. All i7's are quad cores.
If you have a compatible motherboard then this will work. But I highly doubt it will be compatible. the problem with replacing the core 2 duo with the newer i5 is the size and pin difference, the core 2 duo is simply smaller than the i5, you would have to buy a new mother board, which in most cases it would be cheaper to just buy a new laptop with the i5 or i7 in it.
I think it's macbook pro Well it might be different of processer. ex. there is i3, i5, i7. i7 is the fastest is core i7. It might be different processer. If the inch of the labtop is 17 it's core i7
Intel Core i5 is a fast, responsive processor. It is not as good as Core i7, but better than Celtron, Core 2 Duo, and Core i3.
