Starlight contains information, but only once you know it is there, and have the ability to interpret it, can it be converted into knowledge. To know is human; to inform is the nature of reality.

∙ 13y agoI would say that information is what we know from our senses and our consciousness. For example, the pang of hunger and the combustible nature of gasoline. While knowledge is concerned with values. For example, murder is wrong, work is important.
