In an interactive shell session the shell program waits for the user to type in a command. When receiving a command the shell program will then attempt to locate it and process (execute) the command. You are interacting with the shell.
Running a shell file requires a pre-stored series of commands stored in a file. Unless the shell program you are running is interactive then the shell executes each command in sequence, without involving the user at all.
The end command is used to end the program whereas the stop command is used to break the loop like ctrl+c. After running the program it will come as break in 20 or whatever

Commands usually perform some type of program maintenance such as editing, clearing, running, or saving programs. On the other side statements are the part of a computer program and run in compilers or indirect mode.
Ledit is a line editor that allows lines to be edited one by one when running an interactive command. Type man ledit in a terminal to view the manual page.

The difference is that the write mem command is being discontinued. It is being replaced by the copy command and is the one you should use on the cisco tests.
