Life got better for people in the Renaissance The feudalism that existed was changing and people became more mobile. They were learning to read and write and there was a greater chance to improve life. The plague did provide opportunity for people to replace people who had died so that meant that a person to move from a peasants life to a merchant in a few years if they were smart. New products and ideas were also introduced in the Renaissance and new worlds brought new foods and ideas. They were starting to move towards a modern age.
