Nearsightedness known as myopia is when images at a distance are blurred because the image is focused in front of the retina. this cause by the eye being to long. IT can be corrected by concave lens of a suitable focal length.
Farsightedness known as hyperopia is when images that are near (such as when your reading) are blurred because then image is focused behind the retina. this is caused by the eye being to short or the cornea is to flat.It is corrected by a convex lens of a suitable focal length.
Farsighted is where seeing far away isn't blurry, but upclose things are blurry, Nearsighted is where seeing upclose isn't blurry, but things far away are blurry.
